2. ANALYST (CHEMICAL) – 1 POST

Instrumental Analysis and testing of petrochemical products is preferable.

3. TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL/AUTOMOBILE) – : 1 POST

from a recognized University/Institute. Experience in operation and maintenance of pumps
and compressors is preferable.

4. TECHNICIAN (PACKAGING) - : 1 POST
Qualification / Experience : Graduation in Science with Post Graduate Diploma in
Packaging technology from Indian Institute of Packaging. Candidates should have secured
minimum 60 % marks in Graduation as well as in Post Graduate Diploma and should
possess two years experience in the field of packaging.
Age Limit : 32 years (as on 28.2.2009)
Concessions/Relaxations :
- Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PH/Ex-servicemen as per Govt.
Directives.
- Minimum standard of 60% in the qualification is relaxable for SC/ST/PH candidates.
- Age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PH candidates. Age
relaxation for Ex-servicemen as per govt. rules.
- SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

THDC, A joint Venture Corporation of the Govt. of India and Govt. of U.P. was
incorporated as a Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 in July'88, to
develop, operate and maintain the Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other Hydro Projects.
The Corporation has an authorised share capital of Rs. 4000 cr. and Paid up Capital of
the Corporation is Rs. 3300 cr. as on 31.03.08. The cost of the Project (Equity portion) is
being shared in the ratio of 75:25 by Govt. of India & Govt. of U.P. THDC is
implementing the Tehri Hydro Power Complex (2400 MW), on the river Bhagirathi,
comprising of Tehri Dam & Hydro Power Plant (1000 MW), Koteshwar Hydro Electric
Project (400 MW) and Tehri Pumped Storage Plant (1000 MW). The Corporation is also
implementing the 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Project on River Alaknanda for which
CCEA clearance has been accorded.


The Corporation has commissioned Tehri Dam and HPP Stage-I (1000 MW)
during Xth plan. The Tehri Power Station is now fully operational.
Govt. of Uttarakhand has also entrusted to THDC 6 Hydro Projects in
Bhagirathi, Alaknanda and Sarda Valleys in Uttarakhand, totaling to 820 MW and inprinciple
approval to allot Kishau Multi Purpose Project (600 MW) on river Tons, a
tributary of Yamuna. Govt. of India has given approval to THDC for taking up the
updation of DPR of Kishau Multi Purpose Project. THDC has entered into an MOU with
Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL) to synergize strengths and
competencies for development of Hydro Power Projects including Pumped Storage
Schemes in the country. Under this MOU, THDC and NPCIL has taken up works of
updation of DPR of 2 PSPs namely Malshej Ghat (600 MW) & Humbarli (400 MW)
located in Maharashtra and shall be implementing the projects subject to commercial
viability. Under India-Bhutan Co-operation in Hydro Sector development. MOP has
alloted two Projects namely Sankosh Multi Purpose Project (4060 MW) and Bunakha
HEP (180 MW) in Bhutan for updation of DPR, and subsequent implementation on
intergovernmental Authority Model/JV with Bhutanese PSUs. The work of updation of
DPR of Sankosh Project has already been taken up.

THDC is also engaged in the engineering consultancy work for
stabilization of Varunavat Parvat in Uttarkashi entrusted by Government of Uttarakhand.
The work involves providing the complete engineering solution to the major hill
stabilization problem and also supervising the execution of works at site.

Applications are invited from bright, result oriented, energetic,
experienced and dynamic professional with brilliant academic record for filling up
of posts in executive cadre (09 No's) in the Civil, Mechanical, Finance and
Personnel Discipline. The proposed vacancies are for Posting at Corporate Office,
Rishikesh, Project site and operational plant at Tehri/Koteshwar/Pipalkoti/Tehri
Pumped Storage Plant (PSP) and other new project sites/offices in Uttarakhand
and elsewhere.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
The post qualification experience required for each level is mentioned at
para 5 above. However qualification and work experience of each level is as unde

1. Civil (Dy. Manager/Asstt. Engineer)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering or AMIE in Civil Engineering
from a recognized university/Institute and approved by AICTE.
All qualifications should be regular courses except AMIE.
Experience
(Dy. Manager/Asstt. Engineer): Should have relevant experience in
construction/construction planning of Hydro Electric Project with
specialisation in construction works of dams, large concrete structures,
underground structures like tunnels and power house.
2. Mechanical (Sr. Engineer)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering or AMIE in Mechanical
Engineering from a recognized university,Institute and
approved by AICTE. All qualifications should be regular
courses except AMIE.
Experience: The incumbent should have relevant experience in Erection,
Testing and Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance,
Design and Engineering of Mechanical equipment viz Hydro
Turbine, Generator, SCADA, Protection System, Gas
Insulated, Switch Gear, 400 KV-outdoor Switchyard
Equipment, Gates, Hoists, Ventilation System, Air Conditioning,
other Power House Auxiliary equipment and services of Hydro
Electrical Project of power project.
3. Finance & Accounts
(Dy. Manager/Sr. Accounts Officer/Asstt. Accounts Officer):
Qualification: CA/ICWA/MBA with specialization in Finance. All qualifications
should be regular courses.
Experience: Should have experience in Costing, Finance, Accounting,
Budgeting, Internal Audit, Commercial Accounting, Industrial Audit, Taxation,
Banking Operation, International Finance, etc., preferably in large PSUs.
4. Personnel (Asstt. Personnel Officer):
Qualification: MBA with specialization in Personnel Management/PG in
Personnel Management/Social Work. Degree in Law or Diploma
in Labour Welfare will be additional qualifications. All
qualifications should be 02 years full time regular courses.
Experience: Should have relevant experience in HR activities such as
Manpower Planning, Recruitment & Placement, Salary &
Wages Administration, Training & Development, Industrial
Relations, Performance Appraisal, Administrative Functions
& Welfare Activities in Large Public Sector/reputed Private
Sector Organisations.

of reservation in services as per orders contained in Department of

dated-14.10.08. “Non-Creamy Layer”: 'The gross annual income of parents
of the candidates should not be more than Rs. 4.5 Lakhs, or above or
possessing wealth above the exemption limit as prescribed in Wealth Tax
Act for period of three consecutive years.
C a ndidates belonging to OBC Category, but coming in “Creamy
Layer” are not entitled to the benefit of OBC.
3. Total experience relaxable by 1 year wherever length of experience
required is up to 5 years and by 2 years if length of experience required is
over 5 years for SC/ST.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
(a) All Degree/Diploma/Certificates should be from University/Institute
recognized and approved by AICTE.
(b) The Management reserves the right to increase/decrease post or consider
for higher/lower post or not to fill up any of the posts or raise the minimum
eligibility standards/or relax age/experience criteria in otherwise suitable
cases and cancel candidature of any candidate without assigning any
reason. Merely meeting the above qualifications and experience shall not
entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Management also
reserves the right to cancel the entire recruitment process for the above
posts/Advertisement at any point of time without assigning any reason.
(c) While applying for any post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfills
the eligibility and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates
and that the particulars furnished are correct in all respects. In case it is
detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the
eligibility norms and/ or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false
information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will
stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are
detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be
terminated without any notice.
(d) The mere fact that a candidate has submitted the application against the
advertisement and apparently fulfilling the criteria as prescribed in the

fare as the case may be by shortest route from their starting station or
mailing address, within India, which is nearest to the Place of Interview,
on production of proof of journey.
(h) The candidates should posses two years experience in the next
immediate lower scale or equivalent.
(i) Canvassing or otherwise influencing the selection process will render the
candidature invalid.
(j) Incomplete applications and late applications are liable to be summarily
