How to Apply:

Applications must be in response to our advertisement quoting Reference No. and discipline
on the application form.
All instructions as given on the MDL website must be adhered to, failing which, the applicant
will be disqualified for the post.
The application should contain a recent passport size photograph pasted on the application
along with one extra photograph, self-attested copies of date of birth certificate, disability
certificate, caste certificate, issued by the competent authorities in prescribed format (OBC
with Non-Creamy Layer) as applicable, degree certificate and experience certificate.
Separate Application with all enclosures should be brought for each post, in case applying for
more than one post.
Candidates may WALK-IN for an interview with filled up application strictly in the
prescribed format available on MDL website., on the respective dates mentioned as above
as per category of posts between 8.30 AM to 4.00 PM at Management Development

X. Selection Procedure:
a) Interview: Eligible candidates will have to appear for an interview on the scheduled
date. If they are not interviewed on that day, they may be required to attend on the next
b) Verification of Original Documents: All original documents such as degree
certificate, proof of date of birth, caste certificate, experience certificate, etc. will be
checked at the time of interview. Non-production of original documents will debar the
candidate from appearing for the interview and no Travel Fare (see XI below) will be
reimbursed to such candidates. The candidates serving in Govt. Depts./Armed
Forces/PSUs should produce the NOC at the time of interview failing which they will
not be allowed for the interview.
c) Caste Certificates: SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates must produce certificates of proof,
as per the format prescribed by the Government of India. In the case of OBC candidate
the certificate of proof that they “do not belong to the creamy layer” must be not older
than six months as on 15.09.2008.The candidate should have the requisite caste
certificate in prescribed format issued in his/her own name in original. Where
candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC(NCL) category are unable to produce a
certificate from any of the prescribed authorities, they will be appointed provisionally
on the basis of whatever prima facie proof they are able to produce in support of their
claim, subject to their furnishing the prescribed certificate within six months from the
date of their joining the Company.
d) Medical Test: Applicants should be of sound health and meet the medical fitness
standards as required by the Company. Candidates who have been provisionally
shortlisted will have to undergo a medical test conducted/organized by the Company
and certified by the Company’s Medical Officer, which may require them to halt at
Mumbai for two to three days at their own expenses. The final selection of candidates
will be made based on their merit.
e) Offer of Appointment:
i) Candidates finally selected for the post applied for will be offered appointment
after obtaining Police Verification Report (PVR). Candidates from
Government/PSUs will be allowed to join on production of Identity Certificate
issued by a Gazetted Officer subject to receipt of their PVR within 3 months.
ii) They will be on probation for a period of one year and shall be confirmed in the
post on successful completion of the probationary period.
iii) As per present Company Policy, during the probation period neither NOC will be
issued for interview in other organizations nor applications will be forwarded for
iv) Serving candidates from Government Departments / Armed Forces who have
applied through proper channel / produced NOC and selected for the post applied
for will have to join only after resignation. Candidates released/retired prematurely
from the Armed Forces against MDL’s requirements for the above posts, will be
taken on immediate absorption basis. No appointments against the advertised posts
will be made on deputation basis.
f) Fixation of Pay:
The fixation of pay in case of candidates selected from Government Department / Armed
Forces will be in accordance with the Company’s rules and relevant Government
guidelines. In case of a candidate selected from a CPSU, pay will be protected as per
Company’s rules. In other cases, fixation of pay will be at the minimum of the pay scale.
However in deserving cases, MDL management may consider fixing the pay at a higher
stage in the same pay scale.
XI. Reimbursement of Travel fare for Interview:
Candidates appearing for the interview will be reimbursed travel fare by 2 tier AC Rail /
Bus by the shortest route on production of tickets provided they are eligible for interview.
