The Central Council for Research in Ayurveda & Siddha, is an autonomous organization of Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Council is an apex body in the country for the formulation, co-ordination, development and promotion of Research on scientific lines in Ayurveda and Siddha. Research areas include literary and fundamental research, drug research, clinical research including neutraceutical and cosmoceutical research bio-instrumentation and RCH research. The research is executed through peripheral institutes located all over India besides collaborative studies with premier research, academic institutions in medical and allied disciplines in India and abroad. There is an attractive performance based time bound in-situ promotion scheme for the Scientist of this Council.

The Council invites applications from suitable candidates with innovative scientific background as per requirements for the following posts.


1. Name of the Post: Assistant Director(Ayurveda)

Age: Maximum 45 years & below as on 1st January of the recruitment year.

Educational & other qualifications:
Essential:
a) Matric or equivalent.
b) Degree/Diploma in Ayurveda of minimum of 4 years duration from a recognised University/Statutory Faculty/Board/Council.
c) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in Ayurveda of minimum of 2 years duration from a recognised University/Statutory Faculty/Board/Council.
d) 10 years professional experience after obtaining Degree/Diploma out of which 5 years of regular service in Research/Teaching in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500 (pre-revised) or 8 years of regular service in Research/Teaching in the pay scale of Rs.6500-10500 (pre-revised)in a recognised Institution/College/University.

c) 8 years professional experience after obtaining Degree/Diploma out of which 3 years experience should be in Research/Teaching in a recognised Institution/College/University.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE SERVICE:

1. Out of the above Group-A direct recruitment vacancies 3% are reserved for Physically Handicapped persons.
2. The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely. Pension will be admissible as per new restructured defined Contributory Pension Scheme. Probation period will be two years. The posts mentioned above are transferable and the individual selected can be posted anywhere in India.
3. Age relaxation will be allowed to SC/ST/OBC/PH and in Govt.Servant as per Govt. Rules in force. No age bar for the employees of the CCRAS.

Form duly completed together with application fee of Rs.20/- for SC/ST and Rs.100/- for OBC/General Candidate in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, CCRAS, New Delhi, should be sent to the Dy.Director(Admn.), CCRAS, at the above mentioned address so as to reach on or before 09.01.2009. PH candidates are exempted from this payment of application fee.
6. Persons already in service must submit their applications through proper channel. While forwarding applications of in service candidates, Head of the Institutions should certify that the applicants are free from Administrative and Vigilance angle and that no vigilance proceedings are pending or contemplated. Photocopies of ACRs dossier of the candidate(s) for the last five years may also be forwarded along with application in sealed covers.
7. Application received late/incomplete and/or without fee will not be entertained.
8. Note: Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview, the applications will be short listed for this purpose and decision of the Director, CCRAS, will be final in this regard.
9. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid 2nd Class rail fare by shortest route on production of documents.
